Job Description

As a Manager at Google.org, you will be responsible for executing strategic work with stakeholders in India and across the APAC region. You will oversee grantmaking initiatives in India and help to improve people's lives by helping everyone in India and APAC realize the AI Opportunity. This includes providing access to AI and digital skills, helping to create resilient, healthy, sustainable communities, and enabling AI innovations that change how society addresses shared challenges. Responsibilities include aligning with the Google.org philanthropy APAC annual plans and priorities, localizing regional global philanthropic programs in India/APAC, driving project management of large scale Google.org philanthropy initiatives, managing operational support for Google.org philanthropy grants in India, and overseeing Google.org grants focused on knowledge, skills and learning, resilient communities, scientific advancements for underserved communities in India/the APAC region.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
5 years of experience in program or project management
5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects
Align with the Google.org philanthropy APAC annual plans and priorities
Localize regional global philanthropic programs in India/APAC
Drive project management of large scale, Google.org philanthropy initiatives
Manage operational support for Google.org philanthropy grants in India
Oversee Google.org grants focused on knowledge, skills and learning, resilient communities, scientific advancements for underserved communities in India/the APAC region

Good to have:

Program Management certification or experience in Program Management with a technology company
Experience in stakeholder management
Ability to identify, collect, and analyze relevant data to help drive informed decisions

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience in program or project management.
5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects

Preferred qualifications:

Program Management certification or experience in Program Management with a technology company.
Experience in stakeholder management.
Ability to identify, collect, and analyze relevant data to help drive informed decisions.

As a member of the Google.org APAC team, you’ll work with cross-functional teams to execute strategic work with stakeholders in India and across the APAC region, including overseeing ongoing grantmaking initiatives in India. We seek to improve people's lives by helping everyone in India and APAC realize the AI Opportunity. This includes providing access to AI and digital skills, helping to create resilient, healthy, sustainable communities, and enabling AI innovations that change how society addresses shared challenges.

Responsibilities

Align with the Google.org philanthropy APAC annual plans and priorities and localize regional global philanthropic programs in India/APAC, including working with cross-functional teams to identify local advocates and potential grantees.
Drive project management of large scale, Google.org philanthropy initiatives, on a broad range of issues/or corporate responsibility topics, NGO grants management and execution, identifying storytelling opportunities, craft announcement moments, and manage events.
Manage operational support for Google.org philanthropy grants in India, including budget forecasting and tracking, CSR requirement, invoicing, contract management, vendor management, strategy review, and impact evaluation.
Oversee Google.org grants focused on knowledge, skills and learning, resilient communities, scientific advancements for underserved communities in India/the APAC region, ensuring due diligence, effective design, and successful execution.
