Job Description

As the Product Development Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering-focused product development projects. You will coordinate and oversee technical designs, specifications, cost estimates, schedules, and work plans. Additionally, you'll track project milestones, manage resources across project phases, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate solutions. You'll also assist in developing engineering standards and support senior project leadership or independently manage smaller projects. This role involves problem-solving, attention to detail, and effective communication to influence team members and stakeholders. You will be comfortable handling moderately complex challenges and adapting to dynamic project environments.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, or a related field.
  • Experience managing or supporting engineering-based development projects.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage timelines and budgets.
  • Ability to work independently with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Effective communicator who can present technical and operational information.
Good to have:
  • Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies is a plus.

As the Product Development Project Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering-focused product development projects, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and timelines.

  • Coordinate and oversee the preparation of technical designs, specifications, cost estimates, schedules, and work plans related to infrastructure, equipment, or system development.

  • Track project milestones and performance metrics to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to scope and budget; proactively identify and address project risks and delays.

  • Allocate and manage resources across project phases, including engineering, procurement, production, testing, installation, and commissioning activities.

  • Assist in the development and enforcement of engineering standards, material selection, and operational best practices.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate technical solutions and maintain project momentum.

  • Support senior project leadership on larger initiatives or independently manage smaller-scale projects with moderate complexity.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, or a related technical discipline.

  • Prior experience managing or supporting engineering-based development projects from initiation through implementation.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage timelines, budgets, and cross-functional teams.

  • Capable of working independently under general supervision, with a problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.

  • Effective communicator who can influence team members and stakeholders by clearly presenting technical and operational information.

  • Comfortable handling moderately complex challenges and adapting to dynamic project environments.

  • Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies is a plus.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $75,000

The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
