Job Description

As a QA Manager at Ylands EDU, you will be responsible for establishing QA processes and leading a team to ensure high-quality standards throughout the development lifecycle. You will work closely with the Project Lead to emphasize automated testing and play a key role in enhancing the user experience. Key responsibilities include early QA integration, test planning and automation, cross-platform testing, user feedback collection, bug tracking and documentation, team collaboration, resource management, user-centered testing, communication, and reporting.

Must have:

5+ years of QA experience in game development
Proven leadership in managing QA teams and processes
Expertise in automated testing frameworks
Strong knowledge of SDLC and agile methodologies
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Passion for education and gaming, particularly in the Ylands platform
Proficiency in English (B2/C1)

Job Description

As a QA Manager, you will establish QA processes and lead a team focused on ensuring high-quality standards throughout the development lifecycle. Working closely with the Project Lead, you'll emphasize automated testing and play a key role in enhancing the overall user experience.

Key Responsibilities

Early QA Integration: Involve QA from the start to identify and resolve potential issues early
Test Planning & Automation: Create detailed test plans and implement automated testing to improve efficiency
Cross-Platform Testing & User Feedback: Oversee performance testing on all devices and gather user feedback through regular playtests
Bug Tracking & Documentation: Manage bug reporting and maintain clear documentation for test cases and results
Team Collaboration: Work with developers and designers to ensure a user-centric, high-quality product
Resource Management: Allocate team resources and ensure project timelines are met
User-Centered Testing: Advocate for end-user needs and incorporate feedback into future improvements
Communication & Reporting: Keep cross-functional teams informed and report key findings to the Project Lead

Education/Skills

5+ years of QA experience in game development
Proven leadership in managing QA teams and processes
Expertise in automated testing frameworks
Strong knowledge of SDLC and agile methodologies
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Passion for education and gaming, particularly in the Ylands platform
Proficiency in English (B2/C1)
