The Quality Assistance Engineer will drive quality improvements in the growth team, collaborate with stakeholders to enhance processes and testing, create test strategies with a focus on shift-left QA, monitor and analyze test results, debug issues with developers, verify experiment results with data analysts, and serve as a subject matter expert for team testing and product knowledge.
Must have:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in quality assurance or software testing.
  • Experience testing web and mobile applications (iOS/Android) or backend services.
  • Solid understanding of rich/complex UIs and experience working with engineers.
  • Experience defining QA processes with product teams and advocating for improvements.
  • Ability to coordinate tasks and self-prioritize based on business needs.
  • Proficiency in English reading and writing, fluent in speaking.
Good to have:
  • Major in computer science or software engineering.
  • Experience in Agile or Scrum software development methodologies.
  • Experience in Software Engineering in Test.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Located in Beijing or Wuhan.

About the Role: We are looking for Quality Assistance Engineers to join our Internationalisation team and help drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention by ensuring the highest quality standards in our growth-focused experiments and features. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and data analysts to enhance the quality, reliability, and performance of our growth initiatives during the development cycle. If you are passionate about quality in a fast-paced, data-driven environment, this role is for you!

Responsibilities

  • You will be the main driver for improving quality in the growth team and will work with key stakeholders to drive process, tooling, and testing changes.
  • You will be responsible for creating the test strategy for the team's projects, with a focus on shift left QA activities instead of just test execution.
  • You will need to monitor and analyse test results, collaborate with developers and product managers to debug issues, and ensure swift resolution.
  • You will work with data analysts to verify experiment results, ensure accurate data tracking, and help potential root cause triaging.
  • You will also be the subject matter expert for the team's testing and product knowledge, driving knowledge sharing and documentation for your team and other teams' software engineers and QA.

Qualifications

Required Experience & Skills

  • At least 3 years of experience in quality assurance or software testing.
  • Experience in testing web apps, mobile apps (iOS and Android), and/or backend services. Experience working with engineers and have a solid understanding of rich/complex UIs.
  • Experience working with product teams and defining the QA process for your team. This may involve looking at the current development process for each team, identifying opportunities for injecting quality, and advocating for process changes to improve product quality.
  • Ability to coordinate tasks and self-prioritize based on business requests.
  • Proficiency in English reading and writing, fluent in speaking.

Not required but a big plus

  • Major in computer science or software engineering.
  • Experience in Agile or Scrum software development methodologies.
  • Experience in Software engineering in Testing
  • Experience in project management.
  • Located in Beijing or Wuhan.
