The QC Executive/Sr. Executive is responsible for supervising and performing quality control testing of Mortar, Flooring, raw materials, and finished products according to R&D specifications. Key duties include accurate record-keeping, data analysis for process improvement, and managing material releases in ERP. The role involves handling non-conforming materials, ensuring equipment calibration, and maintaining compliance with ISO and EHS standards. Collaboration with various teams for new product development and audits is also essential. Candidates need an M.Sc. in Chemistry with 2-3 years or B.Sc./Diploma in Civil with 3-5 years of relevant QC experience, plus ERP/SAP knowledge.
Must have:
  • Perform and supervise testing of Mortar, Flooring, RM, PM, Intermediates, and Finished products.
  • Ensure accurate recording of test results and statistical data analysis.
  • Manage RM/PM/FG release and non-conforming material notes in ERP.
  • Responsible for calibration and maintenance of lab testing equipment.
  • Handle customer complaints, perform RCA, and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO and EHS standards in the lab.
  • Assist in establishing new products and vendor development.
  • Conduct process audits and ensure corrective actions.
  • Coordinate QC operations and training at tolling units.
  • M.Sc. Chemistry with 2-3 years or B.Sc./Diploma Civil with 3-5 years experience.
  • Knowledge of ERP/SAP systems.

Reports To :        Manager Quality

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for performing and supervising the testing of Mortar/ Flooring/RM and PM as per the specification provided by R&D.
  • Responsible for performing and supervising the testing of Intermediates and Finished products as per the specification provided by R & D.
  • Ensuring the recording of test results in Hard copy as well in soft copy.
  • Statistical Data analysis and improvement in process with the help of Analyzed data.
  • Responsible for authorizing and executing the RM/PM/ FG release in ERP.
  • Responsible for the generation of non-conforming material note in case of any rejection of RM, PM, Intermediates and F.G.
  • Responsible for the modification of First Time Failure batches as per R & D guidelines.
  • Ensuring that the status of nonconforming raw, packing materials, intermediate and finished products are identified with proper label.
  • Ensuring that the raw materials which are being used are supplied by an approved vendor.
  • Ensuring that the ‘Monitoring and Measurement of product procedure’ mentioned in our Quality Manual is followed in his location.
  • Responsible for the calibration of the testing equipments available in his location both external & internal. Ensure all the lab equipments are maintained in good condition.
  • Handle Customer Complaint and RCA for the failure. Implement corrective actions against the Root Causes analysis.
  • To ensure compliance to ISO and EHS Standards at tolling
  • Assist technical team in establishing new products at Plant level.
  • To ensure compliance to all kinds of audits done in the laboratory.
  • Ensure continual improvements in the testing procedures of raw material, packing material and finished goods.
  • Assist Procurement/ R&D for New Raw material/Packing material / Vendor development.
  • Conduct regular process audits and ensure Corrective action against observation/ Non conformance.
  • Ensure good housekeeping and 5S in Lab.
  • Coordinate with Tolling units for QC operation, new product setup, daily and monthly reporting.
  • Training to the plant lab staff on various quality and safety related topic
  • Ensure compliance to Sika quality management system at Tolling location.
  • Monitor overall operation at tolling location.
  • Coordinate with cross functional team for day-to-day operation at tolling site.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • M.Sc. in Chemistry with 2 to 3 years of experience or B.Sc. in Chemistry / Diploma in Civil with 3 – 5 years of experience in relevant field / working in Quality control Lab Construction Chemical/Chemical Manufacturing Company
  • Knowledge of ERP/ SAP

  • Good in MS Office, Basic Computer
