The SAP ABAP-Adobe Forms Consultant will design, develop, and implement custom SAP applications using ABAP. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders and technical teams. Responsibilities include creating SAP scripts, forms, and reports (SAPscript, SmartForms, Adobe Forms); developing custom enhancements (user exits, BADIs, BAPIs); developing interfaces (ALE, IDOCs, RFC); and providing ongoing support and maintenance for SAP applications. The ideal candidate will have at least two full lifecycle implementation projects under their belt and strong configuration knowledge of various SAP modules (GL, AP, AR, Asset accounting, etc.). Troubleshooting, code review, performance optimization, and excellent communication skills are also essential.
Must have:
  • At least two full lifecycle implementations

  • Adobe Forms experience
  • Interface development (ALE, IDOCs, RFC)
Good to have:

Job Summary: -
An SAP ABAP Consultant is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of custom SAP applications using ABAP (Advanced Business Application Programming). This role involves working closely with business stakeholders, SAP functional consultants, and other technical teams to deliver high-quality SAP solutions that meet business requirements.
 
Skills: -
  • At least two full life-cycle implementation projects (from Blueprint/Explore through Go-Live).
  • Should have sound configuration knowledge of master data, GL, AP, AR, Asset accounting and Cash and Bank accounting including new GL accounting, automatic payment programs and closing cockpit.
  • Should be well versed in cost element, cost center, internal order and profit center accounting.
  • Understands General Ledger integration into Funds Management and Grants Management modules following SAP ASAP or Activate Methodology standards.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP ECC 6.0 and/or S/4HANA.
  • Understands integration between modules.
 Responsibilities: -
  • Design, code, and test SAP ABAP programs and applications.
  • Create and modify SAP scripts, forms, and reports (SAPscript, SmartForms, Adobe Forms).
  • Develop custom enhancements using ABAP, such as user exits, BADIs, BAPIs, and enhancements spots.
  • Develop interfaces using ALE, IDOCs, RFC, and other integration technologies.
  • Collaborate with functional consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Create detailed technical design documents for new developments and enhancements.
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing SAP applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in the SAP environment.
  • Perform code reviews and ensure compliance with SAP coding standards and best practices.
  • Conduct unit testing and support integration testing activities.
  • Debug ABAP programs to identify and fix defects.
  • Optimize ABAP code for performance improvements.
  • Analyze system performance issues and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Work closely with SAP functional teams, project managers, and business users
  • Communicate project status, issues, and risks to stakeholders.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to clearly and concisely communicate with others.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Understands business processes for focus area or multiple modules.

  • Understands business functionality related to SAP module/application as well as can identify and understand touch points between modules.
  • Understands how to solve detailed SAP problems.

  • Ability to interpret requirements and apply SAP best practices.
  • Ability to identify upsell opportunities and assists in management of scope.
  • Develop new professional peer relationships for additional business or possible new consultants.
  • Helps develop overall marketing messages.
  • Communicates project resource requirements to staffing coordinator/clients.
  • Ensures quality implementation (works with QA program)
  • May participate in Pre-Sales as part of the client pursuit team.
