Job Description

The Senior Account Strategist, Commerce role at Google focuses on building and managing client relationships in Brazil, requiring fluent English and Portuguese. Responsibilities include understanding client business issues, marketing objectives, and success metrics; working with internal and external stakeholders; achieving business growth goals by presenting Google advertising solutions; developing data-driven analyses and recommendations; and building in-depth knowledge of Google Advertising products. The role requires proactive collaboration, strategic planning, and the ability to translate client needs into effective advertising strategies using Google's product offerings. Success will be measured by achieving client marketing objectives and driving business growth.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of digital advertising, consultative sales, business development, online media environment, or marketing roles.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Portuguese fluently to manage client relationships in the region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a business related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience managing digital marketing and advertising campaigns and relationships with customers or agencies.
  • Experience with Google Ads, Display and Video 360, Search Ads 360, Youtube or similar digital advertising campaigns and platforms.
  • Experience optimizing and troubleshooting products or services.
  • Experience in customer-facing consulting or business.

The Mid-Market Sales (MMS) team is a critical growth engine for clients in GCS designed to grow medium and large sized fast growing businesses Brazil. Through long-term relationship development, we’re dedicated to understanding the business goals by providing advertising solutions to drive business success.

In this role, you will demonstrate an understanding of clients business goals, Account Strategists improve campaign performance, drive thoughtful Google product adoption, and build short and medium-term strategies to meet business and marketing objectives. Your understanding of online media combined with your communication skills and problem-solving abilities enable you to design transformative media strategies for growth based on the customer objectives. You will be using your influencing and relationship-building skills and provide Google-caliber solution promoting, partnership management and analysis to deliver successful business outcomes.

Also, you will be using your commercial acumen, you will uncover the business needs of Google's key clients and achieve their objectives while driving incremental business agreements through our industry leading advertising solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage relationships with clients, and develop an understanding of their business issues, marketing objectives, and success metrics.
  • Work proactively and cooperatively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure workflows and projects are completed on time to a high standard.
  • Plan for, and achieve, business growth goals, through the presentation of Google advertising products/solutions that will help clients to meet the marketing objectives.
  • Develop forward thinking, data-driven analyses and consultative recommendations that align with customer goals, and quantify high-impact opportunities with clear recommendations to present to customers.
  • Build an in-depth knowledge of how Google Advertising products work and can be used to help meet a wide range of marketing objectives.
