Job Description

As a Senior Supply Chain Data Analyst at Microsoft, you'll lead project teams, manage project activities, and guide workstreams to enhance decision-making in their global supply chain. You'll utilize the Power Platform to build visualizations, connect to various data sources, create data schemas, and develop compelling narratives. Responsibilities include recommending change management tools, shaping the vision of supply chain transformation, baselining current processes, driving lean processes, and evaluating external partners. The role requires expertise in data analysis, reporting, and visualization, along with strong supply chain knowledge. This is a hybrid/remote role located in Atlanta, GA, Redmond, WA, San Antonio, TX, or Phoenix, AZ, with relocation support provided.

  • 4+ years experience in data analysis (or Master's + 2 years)

Overview

When you join the Microsoft Global Analytics for Supply Chain team, you will join a team that is embedded into the business in search of the best way to use data to empower teams. Your contribution will drive the organization to work strategically while optimizing various stages of the supply chain.  Your curiosity, expertise and ingenuity will be vital in uncovering questions. 

 

As a Senior Supply Chain Data Analyst, your individual contribution will largely focus on the portfolio of work that enhances decision making in our complex global supply chain.

  • This role is located either in one or all hub locations - Atlanta, GA, Redmond, WA, San Antonio, TX or Phoenix, AZ.  
  • Relocation support will be provided, and successful candidates must ​relocate or reside within 50 miles of the hub office location.  
  • This role is eligible for hybrid or remote work, up to 100% 

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics or related field AND 4+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, data science, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis
    • OR Master's Degree in Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics or related field AND 2+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, data science, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis
    • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

 

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: 

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics or related field AND 6+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, data science, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis
    • OR Master's Degree in Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics or related field AND 4+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, data science, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis
    • OR equivalent experience.
Data Analytics IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $103,800 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,700 - $219,200 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project teams in support of different project workstreams, and manage overall project activities, plans, and schedules associated with deliverables and milestones. 
  • Lead, guide and support multiple workstream that drive growth and enhance decision making
  • Use the Power Platform to build out visualizations that tell a cohesive story for many parts of the supply chain team including but not limited to Planning, Category Management, Engineering etc
  • Ability to connect to multiple data sources and create an organized data schema and develop visualization to tell a complete story. 
  • Recommend appropriate new or revised change management tools and practices. 
  • Bring Supply Chain experience and help to shape the vision in alignment with the overall Supply Chain Transformation core team.  
  • Baseline of current process and drive lean processes on the global and regional basis. 
  • Evaluate and engage with external partners to accelerate transformation.
