Software Engineer, Connectors
Job Summary
We want to make it easy for our users to move data in and out of Aerospike Database. Users should be able to ingest data easily into aerospike without writing custom applications.Similarly, Users should be able to stream the data in Aerospike to downstream systems like Kafka and JMS. We also want to develop frameworks to allow our users to write massively
parallel applications in systems like spark and trino, to unlock the full potential of Aerospike.
In this role, you will develop connectors to various distributed systems which are used by our large enterprise customers. Aerospike’s strength against the competition is its high performance
design and implementation across its products. To maintain that standard, these connectors should be highly scalable and super optimal. It is not an easy task. Your role will involve
implementing new features and iterating over that with performance analysis. Your role will also involve troubleshooting customer issues arising from a diverse array of deployments, bug fixes, and fine tuning based on the use case. This needs an innovative mindset and a collaborative
spirit to thrive in an environment where each day presents new and exciting challenges to overcome.
Required Skills
● 5+ years of experience
● Languages : Java, Kotlin
● Dealt with Java plugins, Multithreading, Networking, Storage, MapReduce
● Built applications/middleware interfacing with Kafka, Pulsar, JMS, Spark, Trino
● Troubleshooting/Root-cause analysis and Performance Analysis
● Comfortable with development and testing tools like Git, Gradle, Maven, Junit, etc.
