Job Description

As a Senior Technical Program Manager at Paytm, you will collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, and partner teams to deliver high-quality products. Responsibilities include managing cross-functional teams, defining priorities, leading agile development, communicating program plans and status to stakeholders, providing subject matter expertise, and driving process improvements. You will navigate ambiguity, build programs from scratch, and ensure effective communication with both technical and non-technical individuals. Success requires a strong technical background, proven experience managing complex programs, and excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Must have:

5+ years experience managing complex programs
Understanding of Software Development & Release Processes
Strong communication skills
Ability to navigate ambiguity
Cross-functional team management

Good to have:

Analytical skills
Experience with analytical tools (e.g., Tableau)

About the role:

As a Technical Program Manager you will work closely with engineering, Infrastructure and partner teams to deliver world class products.

You will represent the team internally in the various product and cross functional initiatives, define priorities, bring clarity and lead continuous agile development.

Successful candidates will have a technical background and be passionate about delivering high quality solutions with effective and efficient processes.

What you ll do

● Wear Multiple Hats as TPM, EM and Product to get things done. Drive teamwork and collaboration across teams. Manage a cross-functional POD/PODs end to end

● Champion execution to navigate through the ambiguity and lead the team with clear prioritization, goals & solid plan of action.

● Communicate program plans, status, risks and mitigation strategies to key cross-functional stakeholders .

● Provide subject matter expertise and identify key technology solutions/services to help define team roadmap.

● Drive internal process improvements across multiple teams and functions.

● Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals.

Skills that will help you succeed in this role:

● 5+ years of proven track record of handling complex programs spanning across multiple teams (internal & external) in a time bound fashion

● Understanding of Software Development & Release Processes

● A Great Hustler with experience navigating through ambiguity and building programs from scratch

● Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, as well as ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, scope technical requirements and prioritize tasks.

● Track Record of key success metric being Getting it done to drive impact for users & business ● Desirable- Analytical skills and hands on experience on few analytical tools like tableau
