Job Description

Scorewarrior seeks an experienced Spine Animator to contribute to the development and improvement of their flagship game, Total Battle. Responsibilities include animating 2D characters, objects, and UI elements in Spine; rigging and setting up skeletal animations; creating FX animations; optimizing animations for mobile and browser platforms; preparing and handing over animation assets; and overseeing animation implementation in the game engine. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of animation principles and rigging, proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, and a portfolio showcasing high-quality animation work. A passion for games and willingness to complete a test task are essential.
Must have:
  • Spine animation experience

Good to have:
  • After Effects experience

Scorewarrior is a game developer and publisher from Limassol, Cyprus. The company is focused on the 4X strategy genre with an ambitious goal to grow it’s hit game Total Battle to become the No.1 strategy game in the world. Our team consists of 150+ passionate, talented, self-demanding, and constantly developing professionals who love making high-quality games.

Our mission: We create games with a mission to unite and excite people all over the world.

We are looking for an experienced Spine Animator who is excited to work on developing and improving our main game and growing together with a team of professionals.


Responsibilities:

  • Animating 2D characters, objects, and UI elements in Spine.

  • Rigging and setting up skeleton animations for game characters and elements.

  • Working on FX animations for game events and the UI.

  • Optimizing animations for mobile and browser platforms.

  • Preparing animation assets and handing them over to developers.

  • Overseeing the implementation of animations in the game engine.

Job requirements

  • Experience working with Spine and creating high-quality 2D animations.

  • A strong understanding of animation principles and rigging (skeletal animation).

  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop for sprite and asset preparation.

  • A portfolio showcasing examples of animations.

  • Attention to detail and a desire to grow in the field of animation.

  • Passion for games.

  • Willingness to complete a test task.


The following would be to your advantage:

About The Company

Our company was founded in 2015 in Cyprus with the initial goal of publishing and operating third-party games.


In 2016 we decided that we wanted to work with our own games instead of ready-made products. We were excited by the idea of being a full-cycle game development studio: to launch a game, gain initial traction, and then scale up the game globally and become a leader in the genre.


2017 saw the arrival of our first game, Total Battle. We discovered the game in its very early stages, and we believed in its great potential, so we made it our goal to focus on this single title and become the leader in the 4X strategy genre.


In 2021, we began to transform the company into a full-cycle game development studio, adding game developers, designers, and artists to our already existing publishing team, which consisted of our finance, legal, marketing, community, and support staff. We finished this process in 2022, and we now operate from our two offices in Limassol.
