Rockstar Games seeks a Strategy Associate to play a key role in shaping how its Publishing teams make decisions, assess results, and uncover new opportunities. This full-time, in-office position in NYC involves working with the Live Service Planning & Strategy team. Responsibilities include collaborating across Publishing teams to clarify plans, analyzing game data to inform development and marketing, tracking progress against goals, creating concise briefs for decision-making, and utilizing critical thinking to craft actionable insights. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in strategy, consulting, or research, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent communication skills. A passion for the gaming industry is essential.

Rockstar is on the lookout for talented Strategy Associate who’ll play a key role in shaping how our Publishing teams make decisions, assess results, and uncover new opportunities for impact. This is a full-time, in-office position based out of Rockstar’s NYC headquarters in Downtown Manhattan.   

WHAT WE DO

  • The Live Service Planning & Strategy team ensures alignment and clarity for every stage of our titles’ lifecycle, from roadmap planning to feature & marketing decisions. 
  • We are a collaborative multidisciplinary group that work across teams to facilitate decision making across different Game and Publishing teams. 
  • The team is responsible for connecting the dots between goals, plans, and outcomes and benchmarking the impact of our decisions to inform future plans. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with team members across our Publishing teams to connect dots, ask sharp questions, and bring clarity to our plans. 
  • Dive into our products by learning about the nuances of our games and our brand to demonstrate how your knowledge can help inform development & marketing plans. 
  • Track and assess progress against organizational goals, contribute to planning sessions, and prepare concise briefs for decision-making.   
  • Use critical thinking expertise to craft stories out of data and information and partnering across teams to make things happen. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing journalism or strategy. MBA or other Graduate degree preferred.  
  • 2-3 years of experience in strategy, consulting, research, or similar roles that involve breaking down complexity and crafting actionable insights. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills—you like to gather information, data, and context to help teams make decisions. 
  • Strong interest in working across disciplines such as design, research, marketing—you’re curious about how different teams work and how we can together connect the dots more effectively.

  • A sharp, critical mind—you question ideas thoughtfully and seek clarity without losing sight of the big picture.

The pay range for this position in New York State (inclusive of New York City) at the start of employment is expected to be between the range below* per year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
