Windows DevOps Engineer

About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Windows Devops Expert to build and maintain a deployment solution for Windows server images using Infrastructure as Code development processes, across Haleon’s Cloud and Edge environments.

The role requires a strong Windows administration background, healthy mix of DevOps skill and is critical to ensuring products delivered meet Haleon security standards and best practices.

The successful candidate is expected to have sufficient SCCM skills, allowing them to take over an existing deployment as a primary contributor to the product and service within Haleon.

Qualifications and Essential Skills:

Professional Experience

• Minimum 7 - 15 years of Proven Experience as a Windows Systems administrator
• Extensive knowledge of Windows server environments, Active Directory, and network protocols
• Experience with cloud platforms (E.g.: Azure, AWS)
• Experience with virtualization technologies (E.g.: VMware, Hyper-V)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
• Strong communication skills to interact with development teams and stakeholders for a UK headquartered business
  
  
  

Essential Skills

• Strong skills with regards to with deployment of applications, patches and updates to client systems using SCCM
• Strong experience in deploying and maintaining SCCM infrastructure
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server Deployments, Installation, configuration, administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Experience with Active Directory components
• Experience with configuration and troubleshooting of GPOs to enforce security and compliance policies on systems
• Hands-on experience with PowerShell scripting and CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub and Ansible
  
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, build, and maintain Windows Server imaging, using Infrastructure as Code development processes across Cloud and on-prem environments
• Maintain and further develop the existing SCCM infrastructure within Haleon
• Automate Windows system configuration, application deployment and other repetitive tasks using scripts and configuration management tools (E.g.: PowerShell, Ansible)
• Ensure seamless integration and functionality with Active Directory, SCCM and other supporting components
• Ensure images and configurations comply with security standards and best practices
• Document infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures
  
  
  

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree: Preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (of equivalent experience)
