This Account Manager role at Google focuses on driving customer growth and achieving ambitious business goals for large, complex clients in the consumer and technology sectors. Responsibilities include owning a portfolio of key accounts, understanding growth drivers, identifying opportunities, and developing multi-quarter plans. The role demands proactive pitching, consulting, budget management, and strong stakeholder management (both internal and external). Success hinges on delivering outstanding customer sales experiences, exceeding quotas, building compelling narratives, and leveraging Google's broad product range to achieve client marketing objectives. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication, analytical, and relationship-building skills, along with experience in advertising, consultative sales, or online media.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years in advertising/sales/marketing
  • Fluent English communication
  • Client relationship management expertise
  • Achieving sales quotas and driving growth
  • Strategic planning and execution

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, online media environment, or marketing role.
  • Ability to communicate in English fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience strategically assessing and achieving client success via sales techniques, including effective questioning, objection handling and promoting.
  • Ability to own a portfolio in an advertising or media sales context and consistently overachieve quotas to drive growth.
  • Ability to build compelling narratives and utilize storytelling as a client engagement strategy while demonstrating thought leadership and high executive functioning within the digital marketing space.
  • Ability to lead and manage multiple projects with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders while thinking strategically and developing action plans.

We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver against ambitious quarterly business and product growth goals while driving customer growth by delivering outstanding customer sales experience and achieving customer business and marketing objectives.
  • Own a portfolio of large complex businesses by thoroughly understanding growth drivers, identifying constant opportunities for growth, managing risks and building multi-quarter plans for achievement.
  • Pitch and consult with customers proactively to support marketing discussions and budgets, while developing and maintaining a pipeline that helps to manage the business and maximize impact.
  • Partner with team members and a diverse set of cross-functional partners to drive business opportunities that build long-term growth, while exhibiting strong stakeholder management internally and externally alongside relationship building with the end customers.
