Job Description

As the AGM/DGM of Fraud Analytics, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the fraud detection, prevention, and mitigation strategies within the organization. This role involves developing advanced fraud risk models, configuring effective fraud detection rules, and leading control-related projects to enhance our fraud prevention capabilities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Risk Ops, Compliance, Product, and Engineering, to ensure our risk management framework is robust and compliant with regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: Lead the development and implementation of advanced fraud risk models and rule-based detection systems to prevent and mitigate fraudulent activities. Manage real-time and post-transaction fraud monitoring, ensuring minimal false positives while maximizing fraud detection rates. Drive control-related projects aimed at enhancing the fraud prevention framework, aligning with RBI regulations and other regulatory guidelines. Collaborate with product and engineering teams to implement automated fraud detection tools and ensure seamless integration with payment systems. Conduct regular analysis of fraud patterns, emerging threats, and transaction trends to proactively address new fraud schemes. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements from the RBI and other authorities by maintaining an updated understanding of fraud-related guidelines and standards. Prepare and present fraud risk reports to senior management, highlighting trends, insights, and recommendations for action. Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing fraud analytics team, ensuring ongoing development and knowledge-sharing across the team. Serve as a liaison with regulatory bodies and industry forums on matters related to fraud prevention and analytics.

Qualifications:
•A bachelor’s degree in Data Science or equivalent
•Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in fraud analytics, risk management, or related roles in the fintech or payment industry preferred
•In-depth knowledge of developing and implementing fraud risk models, machine learning models for fraud detection, and rule-based configurations.
•Strong familiarity with RBI/NPCI guidelines and other regulatory frameworks governing payment companies in India.
•Hands-on experience with fraud detection technologies, data analytics tools, and transaction monitoring systems.
•Proven track record of leading fraud prevention/control projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
•Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with attention to detail.
•Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues to senior management and regulatory authorities.
•Familiarity with payment gateways, mobile wallets, UPI systems, and related payment infrastructures.

Preferred Skills:
•Experience working with fraud detection systems in the fintech space, especially in a licensed TPAP setup.
•Exposure to regulatory audits and the ability to manage compliance with RBI/NPCI and other financial authorities.
•Knowledge of artificial intelligence/machine learning applications in fraud analytics.
