The Data Science team is positioned within the Risk Assurance Services (RAS) unit, which is an integral part of the overall Assurance practice. RAS undertakes a variety of complex information security consulting engagements, and business control reviews across a wide range of organizations.About the team:

The role:
As an AI assurance expert at PwC, you will work with other subject matter experts (SMEs) in data science, model risk and data management. You will be responsible for planning and leading the validation of AI models used by our clients, focusing on identifying and assessing key risks and controls. Success in this role requires a collaborative approach, working closely with development teams to understand essential features and underlying model functionality.
Duties and responsibilities:
You will shape and develop the strategy for what AI Assurance will look like and lead the development and implementation of frameworks, governance models, and risk management strategies that provide consistent assurance at scale regarding AI initiatives
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders associated with AI/ML systems, to build fit-for purpose mechanisms, supporting clients in validating their AI approach, methodology, mechanisms and tooling
You will conduct comprehensive assessments and audits of AI/ML systems, evaluating their compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards, and provide recommendations for improvement
You will serve as a subject matter expert on AI/ML assurance, staying up-to-date with the latest developments, best practices, and emerging trends in the field, and sharing your knowledge with internal and external stakeholders
You will constructively discuss your findings in collaboration with consultants and clients while always looking for the best solutio
You will lead the development of internal accelerators for prototyping and accelerating AI Assurance that may be used later to accelerate the process of AI validation
You will have the opportunity to improve your technical skills, learn new technologies, and polish your communication skills through various company development programs
Skills & experience:
Degree in quantitative fields like engineering, mathematics, statistics or other related fields
At least 3 years hands-on experience in developing, validating and reviewing AI models (depending on the previous experience, candidates will be considered for either Senior Associate or Manager position)
Strong understanding of the landscape of Artificial Intelligence and model risk management including local and international regulations
Proven leadership managing teams and projects with model governance focus
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to simplify complex model concepts and effectively communicate insights
Strong project execution skills to deliver across competing priorities
Relationship management skills to collaborate with stakeholders
Excellent problem-solving and quantitative skills, including the ability to disaggregate issues, identify root causes, and recommend solutions
Strong people skills, team-orientation, and a professional attitude
Fluency in English
