Job Details
As the Art Director at ScanlineVFX, you will be responsible for leading the creative vision and artistic direction of the visual effects projects. You will work closely with the production team, VFX Supervisors, and Clients to ensure the successful execution of visually stunning and compelling visual effects.
Key Responsibilities
- Creates high-end character, environment, FX progression and/or vehicle concept art that creatively and technically inform VFX execution
- Collaborate with the production team, VFX Supervisors, and Clients to understand the creative vision and requirements for each project
- Oversee and Supervise the work of the Concept artists/Freelance artists, providing guidance, feedback, and creative direction to ensure the highest quality output
- Knowledge in creating cohesive design presentations for ongoing or upcoming projects
- Should have a general understanding of compositing, lighting and element generation
- Participate in client presentations and pitch meetings, effectively communicating the artistic vision and technical capabilities of the VFX team
- Maintain a strong understanding of the technical aspects of VFX production, including software, hardware, and industry standards
- Foster a creative and collaborative work environment that encourages innovation and excellence
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Art Director or other closely related experience inside the creative digital industry (games, film, VFX etc.)
- Diverse portfolio showcasing your range of skills
- Should have exceptional drawing,illustration, painting, proportion, anatomy, composition, and perspective skills
- Proficient in the use of industry-standard VFX software, such as Photoshop and Zbrush skills (required)
