Job Description

As an Associate Development Manager 2 (ADM 2) at EA Sports FC, you'll manage a team of Software Engineers, overseeing the delivery of high-quality features for the Ultimate Team game mode. Responsibilities include managing project processes, ensuring timely delivery, fostering collaboration, and working with cross-functional teams (design, engineering, QV). You'll plan sprints, allocate resources, communicate with stakeholders, anticipate risks, and implement agile methodologies to optimize workflows. The role requires experience in project management, Agile environments (Jira, Slack, etc.), and strong communication skills.

As an Associate Development Manager 2 (ADM 2) for the FC Ultimate Team, reporting to a Development Director, you will help manage a team of Software Engineers to deliver high-quality features for FC within the most played game mode. You will be responsible for managing different project management process, ensuring timely delivery, and fostering a collaborative and creative environment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Manage a development team that primarily consists of Software Engineers.

  • Host daily stand-up meetings and ensure the team is following procedures for work prioritization.

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of content production campaigns.

  • Manage sprint planning, allocate resources, and ensure alignment with Production Leads.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams and partners, including design, engineering, and QV.

  • Support capacity planning, identifying and communicating any resource constraints or challenges.

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including delivery of regular status updates.

  • Anticipate risks, mitigate blockers and provide management escalation where needed.

  • Identify team challenges and implement agile methodologies to optimize workflows and productivity.

Your Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Project Management or Project Lead experience with production lifecycles, processes and project planning.

  • Bachelor's degree in any number of related fields including Computer Science, Game Development, Business

  • Experience in a Scrum / Agile software development environment (Jira, Slack, Excel, Google Sheets, and Miro), plus software or tooling automation experience is preferred but not necessary.

  • Experience working with expansive teams, mediation and conflict resolution.

  • Comfortable public speaking, talking through solutions and distilling information.

  • Experience with formal communications, publishing reports or partner facing documentation is highly recommended.

  • Proficiency in English both writing and speaking.
