Job Overview:
We are looking for an Automotive Research Engineer with expertise in both automotive technologies and cybersecurity to join our team. In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and reporting on key data and trends in the automotive industry, with a focus on threat intelligence and security. You will create insightful content, support proof-of-concept projects, and stay updated on both technological advancements and cybersecurity risks within the automotive sector.
Key Responsibilities
Data Collection & Research
- Collect and organize automotive industry data, including technical specifications, market trends, emerging technologies, and security vulnerabilities.
- Actively monitor global automotive news sources, blogs, and incident reports to identify relevant information on automotive technology, security threats, and emerging risks. Analysis & Technical Reporting
- Analyze collected data to identify industry trends, technological impacts, and potential threats.
- Generate comprehensive technical reports, providing insights and recommendations for both internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Prepare and submit research papers based on findings for publication in industry journals. Content Development & Creation
- Develop and rewrite high-impact content focused on automotive industry trends, security developments, and threat intelligence.
- Contribute original content, including blog posts, articles, white papers, and technical reports on automotive security topics.
- Ensure content is accessible and relevant to a wide audience. Proof of Concept (PoC) Review
- Research and understand technical descriptions to support the reproduction or validation of proof-of-concept projects.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide technical groundwork for PoC projects and validate findings. Industry Expertise & Engagement
- Apply deep knowledge of automotive technologies, standards, regulations, and cybersecurity threats to research and analysis.
- Represent the company at automotive industry conferences and events, sharing expertise and insights.
- Stay updated on new regulations, industry advancements, and security challenges within the automotive sector. Threat Intelligence Integration
- Utilize threat intelligence principles to assess and prioritize potential cybersecurity threats to automotive systems.
- Collaborate with security teams to develop and implement effective mitigation strategies for identified risks.
- Incorporate relevant threat intelligence findings into research and technical reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, technologies, industry standards, and cybersecurity practices.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: automotive research, threat intelligence, data analysis, or content creation.
- Ability to write clear, concise, and insightful technical reports and research papers.
- Familiarity with technologies such as electric vehicles (EVs), autonomous driving, ADAS, and in-vehicle communication systems.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present research findings in both written and oral formats.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in automotive R&D and understanding of industry regulations and technological advancements.
- Demonstrated experience in threat intelligence, particularly within the automotive or technology sectors.
- Willingness to travel and participate in industry events and conferences.
