The Brand Relations Associate Manager at Disney Games partners with various Disney Studios and Disney Games Group departments to ensure game alignment with studio creative feedback and company guidelines. Responsibilities include managing brand reviews for assigned titles across platforms (console, mobile, online), collaborating with studio creative leads to maintain character and IP integrity, ensuring access to necessary studio support materials, providing brand support to game production, marketing, and creative teams, managing an internal creative asset repository, and handling requests for screenings and content presentations. This role involves managing low complexity projects and supporting medium complexity live service projects, requiring strong communication and collaboration skills.
Must have:
  • 2+ years experience in brand management, video games, or film studios
  • Understanding of film/game development phases
  • Confident decision-making and brand integrity maintenance
  • Project management skills (AirTable, asset databases)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong interpersonal skills and TWDC franchise familiarity

About the Role & Team

The Brand Relations Associate Manager is responsible for partnering with Walt Disney Studios and Disney Games Group disciplines (production, creative, and marketing) in receiving, routing, and the delivering of brand feedback to ensure games are aligned with studio creative feedback and company guidelines.

The Brand Relations Associate Manager is directly responsible for lower complexity projects and medium complexity live service/live operated titles. This person supports Brand Relations leads across all team projects as needed and assigned.

This function requires day to day interactions with the games team, creatives, marketing, and Walt Disney Studios. This role supports studios for Disney Games Group including Walt Disney Animation, Disney Live Action, Pixar, Parks, Disney Branded Television, 20th Century Studios, and 20th Television Animation.

This role may require onsite Disney studio visits at: Walt Disney Animation, Disney Main Lot, Pixar, WDI/Parks, and occasional visits with Disney Branded TV (DBT).

This is a Full-Time role

What You Will Do

  • Leads low complexity projects from in-development to launch and leads medium complexity live service projects.

  • Supports Brand Relations leads on medium complexity projects in-development.

  • Manages brand reviews for assigned Disney Games titles, both global and regional, including console, mobile, online, and other platforms from creative concept, development, release & live service.

  • Partners closely with the studio creative leads to learn and master character and IP integrity.

  • Ensures that the Walt Disney Games team has the necessary studio support on each project, such as access to reference materials, story overviews, digital assets, etc.

  • Provides brand support to Games production, marketing and creative team members that balances the needs of the game and the authenticity of the TWDC Franchise’s characters and worlds.

  • Responsible for managing internal creative asset repository.

  • Manages requests for screenings, rollouts, and content presentations.

  • Provide clear, detailed, and timely feedback to partners

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • 2 years of experience specifically in brand management, video games, or in film studios.

  • An understanding of all phases of film or game development: concept, pre-production, production and post-production/live-service.

  • Ability to make confident, intelligent, and critical decisions to ensure reviewers understand importance of specific game requirements while maintaining brand integrity.

  • Supports a workplace environment that encourages collaboration and innovative/creative thinking.

  • Detail oriented and able to manage multiple projects at different stages of development.

  • Able to identify and escalate issues to senior staff as necessary.

  • Strong sense of flexibility and urgency.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in project management tools such as AirTable and the ability to navigate asset databases and routing software.

  • Experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint / Keynote.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with emphasis on building productive relationships with creatives, managers and peers.

  • Demonstrate affinity and familiarity with TWDC Franchises.

  • Passion for the latest games and game platforms (Mobile, Console, PC, AR/VR).

Preferred Qualifications

  • A strong understanding of mobile, console, and/or PC games with live operations components.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $85,800 to $115,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
