Summary

AVER seeks a Budget Analyst to support a Federal Agency. The role involves budget preparation, analysis, reporting, maintaining financial systems, monitoring expenditures, and analyzing data to mitigate risks. Experience with Federal agencies and strong written/verbal communication skills are crucial. The position requires handling various financial reports and data within SAP and other systems.

Responsibilities Include:    
  • Provide support in all areas as they relate to the federal budget process around monetary management and reporting, planning, analysis and reporting, execution, and portfolio management to the federal lead.  
  • Identify business process best practices and reengineering for monetary management processes. 
  • Employ best practices as they relate to knowledge management.  
  • Provide spend plan management support, rent plan management support and support using Systems Applications and Products (SAP), Business Warehouse (BW), and TRIRIGA software programs. 
Education Requirements:    
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; finance or business related
Experience Requirements:   
  • Aid with budget preparation, formulation, execution, analysis, presentation, and reporting 
  • Assist with maintaining financial and real property systems of record, prepare funding requirements, monitor expenditures, provide routine reports on the status of funding, burn rates, and analyze data to identify/mitigate risks 
  • Identify business process best practices and reengineering monetary management processes 
  • Work with various offices to develop requirements and update annual and outyear spend plans 
  • Upload, maintain data, track expenditures, review, prepare financial information, and report on financial data in all systems of record (SAP, Business Warehouse, and TRIRIGA)  
  • Conduct analysis of spending patterns and provide advice on ways to increase efficiency  
  • Utilize SharePoint, Teams, One Drive, and One Note to track and maintain financial documentation 
  • Prepare documents in adherence with all reporting rhythms (e.g., daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually)  
  • Complete/assist with reporting requirements mandated by stakeholders 
  • Coordinate and develop Exhibit 54, GSA’s annual space budget justification process 
  • Provide reports and analysis regarding Service Entry Sheet (SES) creation/invoicing, SAP transactions including de-obligation requests, Purchase Request (PR) creation, Unliquidated  
  • Obligation (ULO) related data requests, Goods Received/Invoice Received (GR/IR) data requests, SAP data inquiries, parked invoices, and financial tasker responses.  
 Desired Requirements:   
  • Experience supporting Federal agencies, with the tasks listed above  
  • Very strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills  
  • Strong organizational capabilities   
Location:      
  • HYBRID (On Site 1 day a week in Indianapolis) 
Security Requirements:    
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance (Public Trust) 
  • This role supports a government agency which requires U.S. citizenship
