Job Description

As a Customer Solutions Engineer at Google's gTech Ads team, you'll play a crucial role in supporting customers of all sizes across the Ad products stack. You'll provide technical expertise and guidance on Google's Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and technology platforms, enabling clients to develop cutting-edge applications across Ads and products. You'll work closely with customers to understand their business challenges, cultivate relationships with the Business team and clients, and identify innovative technical solutions to drive advertising business growth. You'll collaborate across Business, Support, and Product teams to deliver practical solutions and contribute to the development of prototypes, demos, and proofs-of-concept for diverse audiences, from engineers to marketing professionals. Your work will leverage Google's technology platforms and big data analytics systems to achieve goals. This role is based in Beijing or Shanghai, China.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
Experience with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP)
Experience coding with Java, C/C++, or Python
Technical troubleshooting skills
Experience managing internal/external partners or customers

Good to have:

Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related technical field
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
Ability to adapt communication to technical audiences and present materials to large groups
Excellent problem-solving, investigative, and communication skills

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience working with web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP).
Experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).
Experience in technical troubleshooting, and managing internal/external partners or customers.

Preferred qualifications:

Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or in a related technical field.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to adapt and deliver messages to the technical level of the audience, and present technical materials to large groups.
Excellent problem-solving, investigative and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Provide technical consulting services and guidance around Google Application programming interfaces (API) and technology platforms to help clients develop cutting-edge applications across Ads and products.
Work with customers to understand underlying business challenges. Cultivate relationships with Business team and customers, identify and develop innovative technical solutions that lead to more advertising business.
Work across Business, Support and Product teams to provide innovative solutions to real-world challenges.
Propose, design, create and present prototypes, demos and proofs-of-concept to a wide variety of audiences, from Engineers to Marketing professionals.
Leverage Google’s technology platforms and big data analytics systems to achieve goals.
