Data Engineer/Data Quality

Requirements

• At least 2 years of BI/DWH development experience
• Excellent knowledge of database concepts, data quality principles, and advanced SQL
• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining ETL data pipelines
• Experience working with Cloud-Native technologies (AWS (preferred)/Azure/GCP)
• Hands-on experience designing production-level Python code
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field, or other relevant equivalent

Good to Have

• Apache Airflow, Apache Kafka, Amazon Redshift, Glue, EMR experience
• Experience with business intelligence software (Tableau/Power BI)
• Experience with billing systems, company financial reporting, subscription monetization products

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the quality of data presented in BI dashboards
• Improve and develop data quality/alerting system, QA data pipelines of internal DWH
• On duty days (approximately 20-30% of time), support stakeholders’ ad-hoc questions and requests, and monitor BI platform morning availability
• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes for internal DWH
• Develop and support integrations with 3rd party systems
• Collaborate with Gismart stakeholders (user acquisition, billing, finance, and other teams) and the BI & Analytics team (data engineers, data analysts, and scientists) to troubleshoot data issues and optimize data workflows
