We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled DevOps Manager to lead and enhance our DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving automation, continuous integration, and continuous delivery processes to ensure the efficiency and reliability of our software development and deployment pipeline. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing a DevOps strategy, leading and mentoring a team of DevOps engineers, driving automation and tooling, overseeing CI/CD pipelines, integrating DevOps principles into Agile methodologies, establishing monitoring systems, collaborating with security teams, fostering collaboration between development and operations teams, conducting capacity planning, developing incident response plans, and participating in troubleshooting efforts.
Must have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash), experience with configuration management tools, and knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-a-service platforms (Terraform)
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Familiarity with security principles and best practices in a DevOps environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate and guide team members.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • DevOps Strategy:
  • Develop and implement an overarching DevOps strategy to streamline software development, branching strategy, testing, deployment, and operations processes.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Automation and Tooling:
  • Drive the implementation of automation tools and processes to improve efficiency and reliability across the development lifecycle.
  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD):
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and management of CI/CD pipelines to ensure rapid and reliable delivery of software releases.
  • Agile Methodology Integration:
  • Integrate DevOps principles into Agile development methodologies, ensuring alignment with iterative and collaborative development practices.
  • Monitoring and Performance Optimization:
  • Establish and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to ensure the health and performance of applications and infrastructure.
  • Security and Compliance:
  • Collaborate with security teams to integrate security practices into the DevOps lifecycle, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaboration with Development and Operations:
  • Foster collaboration between development and operations teams to enhance communication and ensure smooth handovers in the software delivery process.
  • Capacity Planning:
  • Conduct capacity planning and resource optimization to ensure the scalability and efficiency of infrastructure.
  • Incident Response:
  • Develop and maintain incident response plans, participating in troubleshooting and resolution efforts during system outages or incidents.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Knowledge on scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash), experience with configuration management tools and knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

Minimum Qualifications

  • Overall experience of 12 years in SDLC
  • At least 7 years of Devops experience
  • 1+ years’ experience in leading scrum teams, preferred.
  • 2+ years’ experience in Automation
  • Experience leading technology direction preferred.
