Seeking a meticulous Image Data Collection Specialist with strong understanding of machine learning concepts and image processing techniques. You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and curating image datasets for training and refining machine learning models.

As an Image Data Collection Specialist, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and curating image datasets that are critical for training and refining machine learning models. Your role will involve sourcing images from diverse datasets, ensuring their quality and relevance, and implementing best practices in data management to support our Research initiatives. You must be very detail oriented and self motivated to locate specific material and thoroughly document all required details.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and source image and video datasets from approved channels, including public datasets, and Eyeline’s proprietary data sets.
Extract images from select, approved sources and document all source information.
Analyze images to assess quality, diversity, and relevance to project requirements.
Ensure the requested image datasets are complete and aligned with specifications provided.
Conduct preliminary data cleaning to identify and rectify any issues such as duplicates or corrupted files.
Deliver all data into a proprietary asset management system with proper documentation and version control.
Work closely with data scientists, machine learning engineers, and other team members to understand and address image data needs.
Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to improve model performance.
Diligently identify and record all source information and metadata for all downloaded images and files.

Qualifications

Meticulous attention to detail is a must.
Strong understanding of machine learning concepts is important. Experience with image processing techniques is helpful.
A background in Computer Science, Data Science, Image Processing, or a related field is helpful.
Some python scripting ability is preferred.
An understanding of photographic terminology, image formats, metadata.
Experience with image data collection, analysis, and curation, preferably in a machine learning or data science context.
Strong communication skills and the ability to convey technical information clearly.
