Job Description

The Inventory Manager will be responsible for optimizing inventory performance and leading portfolio management initiatives for Personal Health North America. The role involves collaboration with planning, marketing, finance, and cross-functional teams to enhance inventory strategy and act as the central point of contact for market inventory. The manager will lead projects like phase-in/phase-out management, excess and aging inventory reduction, and scrap and obsolescence workstreams. The role also includes analyzing inventory data, developing stock strategies, aligning with stakeholders, and coordinating with global teams to ensure alignment on inventory-related topics and implement best practices across the supply chain.
Must have:
  • 3+ years of experience in inventory planning or supply chain management

Drive inventory and portfolio optimization across multiple categories within the U.S. and Canada, ensuring strategic stock management and operational efficiency.

Your role:

  • As part of the North America planning organization, you will be responsible for optimizing inventory performance and leading portfolio management initiatives for Personal Health North America.
  • You will collaborate with planning, marketing, finance, and cross-functional teams to enhance inventory strategy and act as the central point of contact for market inventory.
  • You will lead key projects, including phase-in/phase-out management, excess and aging inventory reduction, and scrap and obsolescence workstreams.
  • You will analyze inventory data, develop stock strategies, and align with key stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and financial target-setting activities.
  • You will coordinate with global teams to ensure alignment on inventory-related topics and implement best practices across the supply chain.

You're the right fit if:

  • You have 3+ years of experience in inventory planning, supply chain management, or portfolio optimization, preferably within a consumer goods or healthcare industry.
  • Your skills include data analytics, inventory management, supply chain planning, and cross-functional collaboration; experience with ERP systems and inventory optimization tools is a plus.
  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or a related field; an advanced degree or certification (APICS, CPIM) is a plus.
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
  • You are an effective communicator and problem solver with a strategic mindset, strong analytical abilities, and a passion for driving operational excellence.

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

The pay range for this position in Stamford, CT is $86,240 - $147,840

The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.   

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.  Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more.  Details about our benefits can be found here

At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case. 

Additional Information

US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa, now or in the future.

Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position.  For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to Stamford, CT.
