As a senior analyst, you will play a key role in the delivery of technical support to our clients worldwide for our Capital Markets Solution.

We are now looking for a senior analyst to strengthen the platform support team in Mumbai. You will be responsible for driving the execution of central initiatives across the Nasdaq Calypso Capital Market Solution.

Your role and responsibilities:

We are seeking a Technical Analyst to provide Product Support to our clients worldwide for our Capital Markets Solution. This is a tremendous opportunity to develop business, product and technical skills and handle requests of customers which requires greater knowledge of functionality, architecture, and the application infrastructure. The position offers an outstanding opportunity to leverage existing technical expertise and develop/improve domain knowledge and develop a Front-To-Back, Cross Asset view of the Financial Markets. This person will work with customers to gather relevant information, analyze, and report to Calypso development teams to produce solutions.

 In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in a strong experienced team delivering sophisticated technology solutions to international clients. You will work with and learn from domain experts and can take on more responsibility and progress within the customer success team.  Besides working closely with your colleagues in Mumbai, you will also work closely with Nasdaq Calypso teams in other countries.

Furthermore, you will: 

  • Work on and resolve client issues related to Calypso architecture, operating system, network, JVM and other Calypso infrastructure components.
  • Replicate issues, detail them, provide configuration suggestions to Customers, provide Engineering teams comprehensive information in form of test cases to facilitate permanent solutions.
  • Analyze application logs and suggest solutions for performance related problems on Calypso.
  • Carry out JVM performance tuning and profiling of the Calypso application
  • Provide day-to-day support to the clients on Calypso infrastructure issues
  • Analyze the source code and identify the causes of the problems reported by clients, in order to report to Engineering for resolution.
  • Work closely with Business Analysts to analyze and investigate bugs to identify root cause
  • Write test programs when required, in order to simulate the issue being faced by clients
  • Work directly with clients and resolve API-related issues
  • Help maintains the knowledge base articles of issues, questions and common tuning parameters.
  • Compliance to ISO 9001 processes

We expect you to have

  • 4 to 6 years’ experience in commercial software including Core Java, JBoss, Springboot, Swing, JDBC, RMI, SQL, XML (outstanding candidates with less experience will be considered)
  • Good understanding of JVM performance tuning (Garbage collection, thread dumps and memory parameters)
  • Experience on Eclipse IDE with debugging knowledge
  • Application Profiling using Yourkit, Java Visual VM or any other tool
  • Strong on Object Oriented Principles, Design Patterns etc.
  • Knowledge of relational databases and SQL including working experience with Sybase and/or Oracle
  • Willingness and ability to travel periodically, as required.
  • Customer Relationship Leadership Skills
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Must be a fast learner, self-motivated, teammate, and collaborator
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, consistency to standard methodologies defined by the organization
  • Good oral and written communication skills are needed
  • Strong problem solving and debugging skills
  • A basic understanding of finance is required
  • Proficient in English.

  • Education Qualification: Bachelor/Master in computer science

  • It would be great if you

  • Knowledge on cloud technologies like AWS, Kubernetes.
