We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lab Manager to join our System Level Test (SLT) team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the SLT engineering lab, overseeing a team of technicians, and ensuring the smooth operation of lab activities. This role requires a strong background in system-level test product engineering, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to lead and mentor a team.
What you’ll be doing:
Lab Management: Oversee the daily operations of the SLT engineering lab, including assembling, verifying, and maintaining SLT system setups. Ensure the lab is well-organized, safe, and aligned with environmental, health, and safety standards.
Team Management: Lead and manage a team of technicians, including approving timecards, conducting team and one-on-one meetings, organizing training sessions, and maintaining shift coverage based on need.
System-Level Test Product Engineering: Perform system-level debugging, validation, and data collection. Manage hardware-software ecosystem, system integration, and hardware bring-up.
Inventory Management: Coordinate the receiving and shipping of new hardware, track incoming hardware, and manage reworks, repairs, and upgrades for all Tegra & GPU projects. Support sustaining activities such as recovering old hardware and ordering new builds for old boards.
Purchasing and Budgeting: Purchase off-the-shelf hardware, sockets, and other lab items needed by engineers. Work with the finance team to allocate budget for the lab, regularly review quarterly and yearly budget, and communicate with the SLT PE team.
Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including facilities, IT, and EHS groups, to ensure lab maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and certification. Communicate effectively with different teams to provide various system components required for SLT bring-up and sustenance.
What we need to see:
Associate's degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering with 5+ years of overall experience
2+ years of proven experience in system-level test product engineering and lab management.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with multi-functional teams.
Experience with inventory management and budgeting.
Knowledge of hardware interfaces and protocols.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Experience with JIRA software tool for project tracking.
Familiarity with environmental, health, and safety standards in a lab setting.
Previous experience in managing SLT tech for both Tegra and GPU projects.
A master's degree is a plus.

The base salary range is 92,000 USD - 143,750 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.You will also be eligible for equity and benefits. NVIDIA accepts applications on an ongoing basis.
