Position Overview
Arkose Labs is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machine Learning Research Manager specializing in security to join our team in Pune, India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Data Science and AI/ML research, with a specific focus on fraud detection and prevention. This role requires a seasoned professional with proven leadership abilities and a commitment to advancing the field of machine learning in the context of cybersecurity.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of data scientists and machine learning researchers focused on developing advanced models for fraud detection and prevention.
- Design, develop, and implement machine learning strategies to combat account takeover (ATO) and various forms of online fraud.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ML solutions into Arkose Labs' security products and services.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of fraud activities, including bots, phishing, and ATOs, to inform the development of robust ML models.
- Stay abreast of the latest research and trends in AI, ML, deep learning, natural language processing, cybersecurity, large language models, and multi-agent systems.
- Utilize programming languages such as Python, R, Java, or similar to develop and deploy ML solutions, emphasizing strong engineering principles.
- Ensure the effective use of big data technologies and tools in the development and deployment of ML models.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team, encouraging innovation and excellence in problem-solving.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Data Science, with substantial experience in AI/ML engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience as a people manager, with a proven track record of leading and mentoring teams.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in developing machine learning models with a focus on fraud detection and prevention.
- Proven track record of successful implementation of ML-based strategies to combat ATO and fraud.
- In-depth understanding of online or software fraud activities, including bots, ATOs, phishing, etc.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, Java, or similar, with a strong emphasis on engineering principles.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and innovatively.
- Excellent communication and partnership skills for effective multi-functional collaboration.
- Commitment to staying updated with the latest research and trends in AI, ML, DL, NLP, cybersecurity, LLMs, and multi-agent systems.
- Experience with big data technologies and tools is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and leadership skills.
