Scopely is looking for a Principal Product Manager, Competitive to join an ambitious new AAA cross-platform game in Culver City on a hybrid basis, or remotely in the US!

What You Will Do:
This role is focused on developing and enhancing the competitive ecosystem of our unannounced cross-platform incubation game project. You will be a key player in a forward-thinking team, encouraged to contribute innovative ideas and shape the competitive landscape of the game. Your expertise and creativity will be essential in fostering a dynamic and engaging competitive environment that drives player engagement and satisfaction. 
  • Drive Competitive Vision and Strategy: Develop and execute the vision and strategy for the game's competitive ecosystem, ensuring alignment with overall game objectives and fostering a culture of competition.
  • Lead Product Lifecycle: Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle for competitive features, from ideation to launch, including defining product requirements and collaborating with studio teams on feature development.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with game designers, engineers, artists, UX/UI, and data analysts to create player-centric competitive experiences.
  • Champion Data-Driven Decisions: Utilize analytics, player feedback, and market insights to inform competitive product decisions and enhance player experiences.
  • Support Live Operations: Manage key aspects of live operations related to competition, contributing to the long-term success of engagement and monetization systems post-launch.
  • Mentor Product Managers: Guide and mentor a growing team of product managers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Strategic Planning and Communication: Assist with product reviews, forecasting, and strategic business planning; ensure alignment with senior leadership on competitive initiatives.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience in Competitive Product Management: Proven track record in leading product management for successful free-to-play (F2P) games with a focus on competitive features, monetization, and player engagement strategies.
  • Relevant Experience: 6+ years of product management experience on a game team or equivalent experience, preferably with a focus on competitive gaming.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional ability to solve complex problems and challenge conventional approaches to improve product KPIs.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong cross-functional leadership abilities, capable of mobilizing diverse teams towards unified competitive goals.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent ability to convey complex ideas effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Data Analysis: Experience analyzing large data sets to drive insights and improvements, with proficiency in tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, Looker, etc.
Bonus Points:
  • Passion for Competitive Gaming: A deep understanding of what makes competitive gaming appealing to a diverse player base.
  • Cross-Platform Experience: Experience in cross-platform (Console, PC, Mobile) game development and operations.
  • AAA Game Experience: Background in working on AAA games with global scale through development, launch, and LiveOps.
For candidates in CA, CO, NJ, NY and WA, the annual salary range is $169,600 - $253,000 plus equity, bonus and benefits, including healthcare benefits, retirement benefits, pet insurance, paid holidays, paid Scopely free days, and unlimited paid time off. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
