We are looking for a Production Manager to join our team. As a Production Manager you will help create and maintain project master schedules, oversee budgets, and collaborate with our top-tier Producers and department leads. You'll play a vital role in ensuring smooth workflows across VFX/CG pipelines, managing team coordination, and guiding Production Coordinators. Create and maintain the project master and delivery schedules, including setting and executing project milestones alongside the Producer
Manage the budget across the show, ensuring that day estimates are maintained and in-line with the project’s overall budget alongside the Producer
Plan and assist with the project requirements in crewing the show alongside the Producer and Central Production Manager
Establish appropriate task assignments in collaboration with department leads
Supervise departmental dependencies across the project ensuring a smooth workflow in-line with GBK and standard VFX/CG pipelines
Communicate with Producers, Coordinators, creative and technical leads regarding directives and production requirements of specific projects
Oversee and mentor the Production Coordinators in the creation and execution of the project task schedules/ microschedules
Act as a point of coordination and contact between the day-to-day production team and the project’s senior management
Oversee the coordination of dailies and reviews, ensuring accurate notes are taken and production priorities are distributed and followed
Assist the Producer in generating internal progress reports for the production and management teams and forecast any delays or overages
Occasional client liaison
3+ years experience in a CG or VFX studio
Strong planning, organizational and budget-management skills
Leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate the project team with enthusiasm and clarity
Effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills in a remote/hybrid environment
Fervent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, a willingness and ability to learn new technology
Must be a team player as well as be able to lead the team where necessary
Established knowledge of Microsoft Products (Excel, Word) and/or G-Suite softwares including Google Docs and Google Sheets
Experience with Ftrack, ShotGrid or other relevant project management software
Proficient understanding of CG and/or VFX pipeline and dependencies is a must
Relevant degree in animation/VFX/film or other related field
Experience defining and managing large project budgets
Some experience of line-managing and mentoring junior members of staff
You should be self-sufficient
Goal-oriented with an ability to see the full picture, even when the working day is filled with quick decisions
A team player with a positive mindset
A good listener and not afraid to ask for help if needed
