We are Fatshark

We are a critically acclaimed Swedish game development studio with about 190 experienced and skilled employees. We are most well-known for developing the Warhammer: Vermintide franchise, but have also helped develop a number of AAA titles and we launched the highly anticipated game Warhammer 40,000: Darktide.

The role

As a Senior QA Tester at Fatshark, you will be responsible for establishing and managing our Quality Assurance processes for the project, setting up playtests and working closely with our production team, developers and both internal and external QA, from early conversations all the way up to deploying the updates to our players. You will also be responsible for setting up and managing our release management processes and planning long term releases together with our production team.

What you'll do

  • Own and develop the QA process for the project/team
  • Perform qualitative testing on one or more platforms (Windows, Xbox, Playstation)
  • Coordinate playtests, summarize feedback, and manage daily builds for tests
  • Own the playtesting process and promote a QA mindset among developers
  • Be a driving force in identifying quality flaws in our products and tools
  • Provide, gather, summarize and present qualitative feedback
  • Be a part of building our release management processes for a new project
  • Coordinate and maintain a long term release schedule for the project

Required qualifications

  • 5+ years of software industry work experience in QA and/or Release Management
  • Experience using common bug tracking systems like Atlassian Jira
  • Good organizational skills and a sharp attention to detail
  • Experience in writing test cases and test plans
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
  • Passionate about video games
  • Strong communication skills

Bonus qualifications

  • ISTQB Certified
  • Education related to games and/or QA
  • Basic programming knowledge in languages like Lua, C#, C++
  • Experience with our games, especially Vermintide 2 and Darktide
  • Experience with versioning and revision control systems like p4v, SVN, GitHub, etc
  • Experience with build automation and management tools like TeamCity, Jenkins, etc
  • Project Management or Production experience
  • Experience working with Unreal Engine
