Job Description

ByteDance is seeking a Research Scientist for Generative AI, LLM and Multimodal to join its team responsible for core technology and business development. The ideal candidate will have practical experience in computer vision, large language models, speech/music understanding and generation, multimodal generation, diffusion models, GANs, transformers for generation tasks, large-scale training, RLHF, and generative AI. Responsibilities include conducting cutting-edge research and development, transferring advanced technologies to ByteDance products, and exploring new products with artificial intelligence technology at its core.

Must have:

Practical experience in computer vision, including large language model, speech/music understanding and generation, multimodal generation, diffusion model, GAN, transformer for generation tasks, large-scale training, RLHF, and generative AI.
Highly competent in algorithms and programming
Strong coding skills in C/C++ and Python.

Good to have:

Publications in top-tier venues such as ICLR, ICML, ICASSP, CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, NeurIPS and etc.
Work and collaborate well with team members.
Ability to work independently.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications - Practical experience in one or more areas of computer vision, including but not limited to large language model, speech/music understanding and generation, multimodal generation, diffusion model, GAN, transformer for generation tasks, large-scale training, RLHF, and generative AI. - Highly competent in algorithms and programming - Strong coding skills in C/C++ and Python. Preferred Qualifications: - ≥3 years of research in the related area mentioned above - Publications in top-tier venues such as ICLR, ICML, ICASSP, CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, NeurIPS and etc. - Work and collaborate well with team members. - Ability to work independently. 【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $136800 - $205000 annually.​
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.​

We cover 100% premium coverage for employee medical insurance, approximately 75% premium coverage for dependents and offer a Health Savings Account(HSA) with a company match.
