Job Description

As a DOTS Sales Associate at Trek, you'll provide exceptional customer service, guiding customers through the process of selecting bikes, components, and apparel to meet their cycling needs. Responsibilities include achieving sales targets, learning about Trek products through training, participating in team huddles, using the Guide Sales Process, following up on quotes and leads, and making customer-focused decisions. You'll also contribute to store maintenance, including merchandising, inventory management, bike assembly, and prepping bikes for service. The role requires a positive attitude, a passion for cycling, a desire to learn, and weekend availability.

Job Description

Our DOTS Sales Associates help to achieve Trek's Mission by providing incredible hospitality to our customers and changing the world by getting more people on bikes. From the moment our customers arrive in our parking lot to when they leave on their bicycles or drive away, our Sales Associates are our Guides, taking our customers through everything they need to accomplish their cycling goals, keep their bicycles performing as designed, and ensuring they will have a great experience on their rides.

Job Duties

  • Develop your sales and hospitality skills through training, role-playing and on-the-job experience.
  • Achieve individual monthly and annual sales targets
  • Learn about bikes, components, apparel, and technology. Through our amazing online learning program Trek University.
  • Participate in daily huddles and debriefs.
  • Use our Guide Sales Process to provide our customers with incredible hospitality, and create lasting customer relationships.
  • Follow through on Quotes and Lead List communications.
  • Make decisions regarding the care of-and doing the right thing for-our customers.
  • When not actively taking care of customers, you will be helping to:
    • Complete Daily Task List assignments.
    • Maintain all aspects of store merchandising according to the visual merchandising standards, including product placement, price auditing, and product re-stocking.
    • Complete weekly Cycle Counts.
    • Assemble, or pre-assemble, new bicycles.
    • Prep customer bikes for service by our Service or Production Technicians
