Job Summary
Job Description
As a Senior Design Engineer, Silicon at Google, you'll be part of a team developing custom silicon solutions for Google's direct-to-consumer products. Responsibilities include defining microarchitecture details (interface protocol, block diagram, data flow, pipelines), performing RTL development (SystemVerilog) and integration (Perl), debugging simulations, and conducting RTL quality checks (Lint, CDC, RDC, Synthesis, UPF). You'll contribute to innovation, delivering high-performance, efficient, and integrated hardware experiences. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent experience) and 3 years of RTL design experience with Verilog/SystemVerilog and microarchitecture, along with experience in low-power schemes and RTL quality sign-off flows.
Must have:
- Bachelor's degree in EE/CS or equivalent
- 3+ years RTL design experience (Verilog/SystemVerilog)
- Microarchitecture experience
- Low power design expertise
- RTL quality sign-off (CDC, RDC, Lint)
- Perl/Python scripting
Good to have:
- Master's/PhD in EE/CS/CE
- Low power estimation/timing closure/synthesis experience
- Computer architecture experience

Job Details
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience with Register-Transfer Level (RTL) design using Verilog/System Verilog and microarchitecture.
- Experience in handling low power schemes, power roll up and power estimations.
- Experience in Register-Transfer Level (RTL) quality sign-off flows (e.g., CDC, RDC, Lint, Power Intent or LEC).
- Experience with Perl or Python.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
- Experience with methodologies for low power estimation, timing closure, and synthesis.
- Experience with computer architecture.
