Summary:
You’ve worked on famous brands, designing their logos, identity systems, and applications all
the way through to the specifications in the brand guidelines. You have more than 6 years
experience working in a well-recognized branding studio. You’re creative, strategic, and
passionate about what you do – the typeface matters and so does the pixel size. You have
excellent Mandarin and English skills, and you like working and leading a strong team to push
creative ideas and execution to the next level.
As Senior Designer, you will already have extensive experience in developing creative and
innovative systems and solutions for international and local brands. At MetaDesign you will lead
several brand design projects and mentor junior designers. You should have the ability to
generate clear, strong and meaningful ideas and execute them beautifully.
Fluent Mandarin and English is preferred.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
• Responsible for the design development of brand identity from the initial briefing,
strategic direction to the implementation of cross-media applications
• Particularly in the Concept phase, develop and share visionary approaches and creative
ideas that can be delivered in strong and flexible corporate systems
• Possess a deep understanding of your clients’ business and the environments in which
they operate, including sectors, markets, competitors, trends etc.
• Inspire and mentor all design team members, including Senior Designers, Designers and
interns, while ensuring utmost design quality.
• Create and deliver engaging presentations, facilitate meetings and conduct client
workshops in English and Chinese with confidence and professionalism
• Liaise between the design and brand consulting disciplines to develop ideas and run
workshops
• Demonstrate and deliver identity systems created for a digital environment
• Build strong client relationships
• Create work the studio can be proud of

Qualifications

• A degree in visual communication or a related field
• 6+ years experience in an internationally operating branding or CI/CD agency
• Experience managing a team, and mentoring senior and junior designers
• Experience as a successful leader, team builder, motivator and team developer for
cross-disciplinary teams
• Thoughtful and can anticipate project issues or client concerns in advance
• Strong conceptual skills and a keen sense for visual trends, and cross-media
understanding of design and production
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese (Mandarin)
• Excellent presentation skills, charismatic and inspiring
• Good time and priority management skills, solution-oriented working style
• Experience in animation or After Effects is a plus
