About the job

SummaryBy Outscal

REGENT is building the seaglider; the first electric flying machine that will transport commercial passengers. With a vehicle that never flies higher than a few meters off the water, we unlock the ability to fly twice as far as an electric aircraft, and certification by maritime authorities which will let us fly first passengers by mid-decade.

We are backed by the world’s best investors: the same investors who are behind SpaceX, Anduril, and Boom Supersonic, in addition to strategic investors like Lockheed Martin, Japan Airlines, and Hawaiian Airlines. We have over $9B in orders from some of the industry’s largest operators and are hard at work getting our full-scale, human-carrying prototype on the water next year.

REGENT is seeking skilled Electrical Technicians with experience in fabricating, assembling, and maintaining electrical systems. The position requires a commitment to safety across aircraft and marine operations.

Roles & Responsibilities

    • Use crimp tools, cable strippers, and soldering irons to build, cut, crimp, and solder wire harnesses and cables, and assemble systems and components following engineering documentation.
    • Inspect assemblies, ensure parts and tools availability, collaborate with the design team, and coordinate workspace layout and project timelines.
    • Plan and execute cable builds and rework activities for test stands, prototypes, and production, while maintaining production machines and equipment for safety and productivity.
    • Inspect and test finished products for defects, document findings, debug failures, and recommend corrective actions to design engineers.
    • Build small electrical sub-assemblies and battery modules (high and low voltage) and integrate and test electro components in vehicles.
    • Run functional testing on units and be physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted.

Required Qualifications & Skills

    • 7+ years working as an electrical or avionics technician in the automotive, maritime, aviation, or aerospace industry
    • Ability to fabricate aircraft harnessing from wiring schematics and drawings to industry standards such as IPC/WHMA-A-620
    • Ability to create and support the generation of maintenance documents and procedures
    • Experienced with standard hand tools and measuring devices (multimeter, calipers, crimp tools, etc.)
    • Experience with test and safety practices for low-voltage and high-voltage systems and components
    • Familiarity with the use of MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
