Role Profile

In this role, you'll be joining our Azure Engineering team within Cloud Productivity & Engineering (CPE) as a Senior Platform Engineer. In collaboration with Microsoft, this team focuses on building, developing, and supporting our Azure cloud platforms to accelerate the time-to-market of innovative finance products. As part of the AI Platform Engineering squad, you will implement, optimise and scale innovative AI workloads across LSEG.

• Design and build AI tools and products to improve developer experience.

• Active involvement in decision making areas such as networking, compute, security and monitoring.

• Perform POVs and POCs of the emerging AI/GenAI technologies to determine the business value they add to LSEG.

• Mentor and guide junior engineers, encouraging best practices in Azure administration, development, and DevOps processes.

• Work alongside architects, developers and other engineers to ensure efficient Azure AI services and models are designed and consumed aligned to LSEG's Enterprise Scale Landing Zone.

• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI to enable application teams to build innovative products.

• Implement best practices for data quality, security, and compliance.

• Ensure knowledge articles of all supported systems are continually updated.

Tech Profile/Essential Skills

• Experience in designing, developing, and implementing solutions in Azure.

• Strong understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and agile methodologies.

• Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Previous roles involving Azure administration, Azure development, and/or DevOps processes.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Proactive incident management with Azure-based troubleshooting.

• Python / Go / R.

• Understanding of generative AI, LLMs, NLP, and machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, etc.).

• Hands on experience in developing and implementing AI and Data cloud solutions.

Education and Professional Skills

Relevant Professional qualifications, such as:

• Azure Solutions Architect Expert

• Azure DevOps Engineer Expert

• Azure AI Engineer Associate
