Description of Task to be Performed:
Come join our growing team and make a difference every day! AnaVation is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Administrator to join an exciting work program. The successful candidate will have experience with designing, implementing, operating, maintaining, and monitoring large enterprise networks, preferably in federal government environments, and in following Agile processes using the SAFe framework.

Key responsibilities include:
· Manage and mentor junior administrators on application management best practices and providing technical support.
· Evaluate and provide guidance for the selection of applicable network hardware and software vendors.
· Install, upgrade, patch, and configure complex network, monitoring, and logging applications across the organization.
· Monitor application performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing tuning strategies to maintain optimal user experience.
· Diagnose and resolve intricate application problems, including integration issues, data inconsistencies, and security breaches.
· Implement and enforce application security policies, manage user access controls, and monitor for potential security threats.
· Forecast future application needs, scaling infrastructure to accommodate growing demands.
· Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand application requirements and align system functionality with business objectives.
· Ensure applications adhere to relevant industry regulations and compliance standards.
· Lead the response to application-related outages or critical incidents.
· Maintain comprehensive documentation in Jira, Confluence, or any other document repository of network configurations, changes, and operational procedures.

This position is onsite at our customer site in Clarksburg, WV.

This position requires an active Top Secret clearance and, if requested by the customer, the ability to successfully pass a polygraph and obtain SCI accesses.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s in computer science, engineering, information systems, or information technology. In lieu of degree, minimum of ten (10) years relevant experience required.
• Experience: 6 years
• Required:
• Six years of work experience in system administration.
• Proven experience as a Senior System Administrator or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of various operating systems, such as Windows, Linux, Unix, and their administration.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols, network architecture, and network security principles.
• Knowledge of scripting languages, such as Python and Bash.
• Knowledge of Cloud technologies.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Team management abilities.
• Experience working in an Agile organization using Scrum, XP, Kanban, and SAFe.
