Summary

The Social Media Community Manager at KICK will be responsible for growing, engaging, and maintaining the KICK community across social media platforms like Twitter and Instagram. This involves managing accounts, engaging with users through DMs and public replies, creating engaging content (written and visual), collaborating with the marketing team on content ideas and campaigns, communicating with streamers, working with customer support on social media queries, and fostering a vibrant online community. A deep understanding of streaming culture and proficiency in social media management are essential.
Must have:

This role puts you at the forefront of community engagement and will see you interact with the community daily. Whether it's crafting meaningful replies and DMs, discussing memes, sharing content or building meaningful connections with the community, there will be a lot of variety in this role. You will join an existing team that is super passionate about streaming culture and growing the KICK Community. This role will operate on a shift pattern of either Tuesday – Saturday, or Sunday – Thursday, at the following work hours 7 am - 3 pm or 11 am - 7 pm. You will join a growing workforce of over 400 people at one of Australia's fastest-growing businesses! 

Your role with us: 

Your mission should you choose to accept it, will be to help grow, engage and maintain the KICK community by engaging DMs and public replies on social media platforms. You will assist ideation of content, activations and campaigns within the wider marketing team as well as manage our social media accounts for Twitter and Instagram. This role will see you engaging with our audience across multiple social media channels with creative social content, be that written or visual. You will also be required to communicate with streamers through on-site chats and forums and build rapport with them and their audience. You will also get to work alongside our Customer Support team with queries on social platforms.

What you will do: 

  • Basic social media account management of platforms such as Twitter and Instagram.
  • Communication with streamers through on-site chats and forums.
  • Working alongside customer support team with queries on social platforms.
  • Building a rapport with streamers and the viewing audience.
  • Engaging our audience with creative social content, be that written or visual.
  • Delivering on social media strategies from a live-posting standpoint, fostering the KICK community on a daily basis through engaging content.
  • Being across the process and infrastructure of the back-end of the site.

What you will bring: 

  • Experience in managing and maintaining a large social media platform/online community
  • Passion and knowledge of streaming culture is a must
  • Experience using online platforms (X, X Pro, Instagram, Discord, Slack, Google Suite, Reddit, Monday, TikTok)
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative products (PhotoShop, Premiere)
  • Excellent written and communicative skills
  • Attention to detail
  • In-tune with online trends, pop-culture and newsworthy topics
  • Ability to take initiative
  • Adequate problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work autonomously


Bonus points if you also have:

  • Bi-lingual in English and anything else! 
  • The ability to create digital content using Photoshop and/or other applications is desirable 
  • Sports, gambling and cryptocurrency knowledge advantageous
