Reporting to the Senior Manager, this role involves co-leading market entry, building relationships with key decision-makers in collegiate softball, developing strategic account plans, collaborating with sales and product teams, executing tradeshows, and providing contractual support. The ideal candidate possesses a strong collegiate softball network, sales/marketing experience, and understanding of product development. Responsibilities include establishing Trackman as a leading tracking provider, fostering brand awareness, and achieving sales targets.
Must have:

Job description

Trackman is seeking a Softball Business Development Coordinator. This first of its kind position for Trackman will report to the Senior Manager, College Baseball/Softball and will play a key role in supporting the company’s entrance to the Softball market. We are looking for a talented individual who is passionate about softball and who will help us drive sales and product development.  

This position will collaborate closely with many groups across Trackman. In particular, Coordinator, Softball Business Development must work closely with the Sales team to ensure targets are met and new customers are educated and excited about Trackman products. This dynamic role demands a talented individual who is strong in strategy, leadership, collaboration, communication, planning, and execution.  

Essential Functions & Responsibilities: 

  • Co-lead Trackman’s entrance into softball and help establish Trackman as the leading tracking provider 

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at prospective colleges and conferences to build trust and foster brand awareness 

  • Develop strategic account plans to maintain and grow client relationships, including identifying key decision-makers and managing account priorities 

  • Collaborate closely with Trackman Sales to create and execute sales strategies aligned with Trackman goals 

  • Work alongside Trackman Product team to enhance and develop products by leveraging knowledge of the marketplace 

  • Lead the execution of softball tradeshows, ensuring the objectives set forth prior to the event are met 

  • Provide contractual negotiation and administrative support for Softball business 

  • Travel as needed to attend customer meetings, company functions and conferences 

Job requirements

  • A strong network in the collegiate softball space 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or related field 

  • Minimum of three (3) years in a collegiate or professional softball coaching or player development role 

  • Experience in developing and applying sales and marketing strategies 

  • Understanding of product development processes 

  • Understanding sales processes, identifying customer needs, and winning sales 

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills 

  • Personal drive, self-starter with demonstrated willingness to go the extra mile 

  • Build and maintain relationships easily 

  • Strong administrative skills and good attention to detail 

  • Analyze problems and provides well-thought-through solutions 

 

Preferred 

  • 3+ years sales and/or product development experience 

  • Extensive knowledge of sport tracking technologies 

  • A strong network in the amateur softball space
