We are seeking a hard-working, experienced, team-oriented Software Engineering Manager, that has a love for games and technology with experience leading engineering teams, to help us build outstanding internal tools and customer facing applications. You will bring your skills as a multi-disciplinary leader to lead a team of engineers developing and maintaining solutions that enable our partners and players to focus on game play.

We are a full-stack team and do everything in some of the latest technologies to support backend services, serverless services, mobile apps and web based experiences. Join us to help redefine technology and software engineering at Wizards of the Coast!

What you'll do:

  • Lead a growing team of software and quality engineers, both in their tasks as well as morale, career growth and future planning.
  • Work with the tech director and leads to develop technical resources and set teams up for success.
  • Coordinate with product managers, our producers and leads to improve process and define solutions.
  • Work to improve quality, processes and standard methodologies.
  • Continually improve your skills, stay on top of new technologies, and always raise the standard for what is possible on your team.

What you'll bring:

  • Experience building engineering teams, providing mentoring and professional direction for project related tasks.
  • 2+ years demonstrated ability as an Engineering Leader.
  • 5+ Years experience as a Software Engineer.
  • Solid foundation in engineering methodologies and best practices.
  • Prior experience having shipping user-facing applications and experienced all phases of development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills working in a collaborative environment
  • Ability to build, lead, mentor and lead multiple teams of engineers.
  • Able to work collaboratively with engineering partners.
  • Passion for making and playing games.
  • Enthusiastic, positive, team-oriented; must have the ability to interact and collaborate with all departments and teams.
  • Self-sufficient and self-motivated; can perform duties with little oversight.

Compensation Range, Currency USD:

  • Starting Pay Range: $ 130,160
  • Pay Range End: $ 213,720
