Job Summary

Job Description

This role supports the Communications, Public Affairs, and Corporate Responsibility department, reporting to the local Head of Department. Responsibilities include drafting communications, supporting media outreach, building media relationships, monitoring news, coordinating with government entities, preparing briefing materials, tracking policy updates, and assisting with charity campaigns and corporate responsibility initiatives. The specialist will also manage trackers, organize files, document meeting minutes, and coordinate with suppliers for timely payments.
Must have:
  • Provide day-to-day support across Communications, Public Affairs, and Corporate Responsibility initiatives.
  • Draft and edit press releases, media alerts, briefing documents, and other key communications.
  • Support media outreach, including pitching stories, coordinating interviews, and managing follow-ups.
  • Build relationships with key media contacts in the UAE.
  • Monitor daily media coverage and work on monthly media reporting.
  • Ensure continuous alignment with the marketing department on any Communications, Public Affairs, or Corporate Responsibility initiatives.
  • Monitor the news daily for any important announcements in UAE or relevant to the industry and share daily updates with the team.
  • Support the team in research, drafting content and preparing presentations.
  • Support the Public Affairs team in coordinating with government entities, regulators, and strategic partners for ongoing initiatives and events.
  • Assist in preparing briefing materials, talking points, and reports for meetings with external stakeholders and public sector partners.
  • Track and report on relevant policy updates, regulatory developments, and government initiatives that may impact the business or industry.
  • Provide on-ground support for Public Affairs and Corporate Responsibility events, including coordination with partners, vendors, and government entities.
  • Assist with planning, reporting, and execution of charity campaigns and Corporate Responsibility initiatives.
  • Ensure Corporate Responsibility trackers and reporting dashboards are up to date and shared with relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure trackers are up to date, files organized and meeting minutes documented across all three functions.
  • Coordinate between external suppliers and finance department to ensure timely payment.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in Communications and/or Public Relations.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
Good to have:
  • Exposure to Public Policy and Corporate Responsibility.
  • Agency experience and/or dynamic in-house exposure.
  • Qualifications and or Experience in Journalism, Public Affairs, Communications and Events.
  • Arabic language skills.
  • A go-getter attitude with a strong sense of ownership.

  • Highly organized and ability to multitask.

Job Description

As Communications, Public Affairs and Corporate Responsibility Specialist, this role will help support the department across the three functions, reporting into the local Head of Department, working closely with other team members and functions, as well as liaising with the regional team.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in either Communications and/or Public Relations, ideally with exposure to Public Policy and Corporate Responsibility
  • Agency experience and/or dynamic in-house exposure.
  • Qualifications and or Experience in Journalism, Public Affairs, Communications and Events
  • Must have excellent verbal and written English communication skills, Arabic is a big plus.
  • A go-getter attitude with a strong sense of ownership that sees a task through to the end
  • Ability to work well with others and foster positive work relationships
  • Highly organized and ability to multitask
  • Passionate to learn and make a difference
