Do you get energy from leading a cross functional team towards delivering top quality products? Do you love collaborating with customers and do you see solutions where others only see problems? Then you are the Team Lead we are looking for.

As a Team Lead, you guide the team into a high-performing state: regularly delivering qualitative increments of the product. You do this by making sure the right people are present, the responsibilities are clear and that there’s a supported way of working. Not only within the team, but also with the client. You are the main, but not the only, contact point for the client. You will ensure that there is transparency on budget, progress, issues and successes. To both the client and In The Pocket.


What you'll do:

Consistent product delivery:

  • You are accountable for the successful delivery of your team
  • You own all planning aspects of the team and the product(s) entrusted to that team
    • capacity planning and how that translates to budget
    • release planning
    • high-level roadmap
    • risk management
    • ...
  • You act as first point of contact for all questions regarding the progress of products under your care (both internal & external)
  • Help the team ship working software, for example by removing impediments, getting timely decisions, managing risks

Ensure the team's agility:

  • Together with the other teams in the tribe you agree on an agile way of working
  • You can guide groups in challenging contexts
  • When facilitating, you’re able to keep sessions focussed and ensure they accomplish their goals.
  • You make sure the team regularly pauses to reflect on how it's working and help them find ways to improve how they work together and how they interact with the client and other teams.

People Management:

  • You build psychological safety, by inspiring trust in your team and in the stakeholders of the products under your care
  • You manage the performance of your up team members by setting goals,motivating them, protecting them and if necessary, addressing them
  • You spot, nurture and grow individual talents

Lead the way:

  • You are a living embodiment of In The Pocket's values
  • You are a driver for change in your team and you play a big part in In The Pocket's business process improvement

Who you are:

  • Minimum 2 years leadership experience within a software development environment
  • You have a delivery background and keen interest in product development. We want you to demonstrate affinity with and real passion for software development.
  • People skills come natural to you
  • Your communication skills are excellent. This means talking, writing and listening (not necessarily in that order)
  • You are passionate about all things digital, including strategy
  • You are organized and composed, also when working under pressure
  • You think in terms of solutions, never in terms of problems
  • Agility has very few secrets for you
  • You are looking for a permanent position on our payroll.
