As a Technical Project Manager II, you'll be responsible for developing and managing the video experiences for the Disney Streaming platform. You'll partner with Program and Engineering managers, serve as the interface between Product and other Engineering teams, and ensure the delivery of best-in-class consumer applications. You'll be responsible for creating a roadmap, executing projects, managing stakeholders, and ensuring team alignment with product priorities. You'll need to have a strong understanding of technical architecture, project management processes, and communication skills.

This team synthesizes information from across the business to ensure leaders are armed with all the necessary data before making strategic and financial decisions. From forecasting, funding, tracking, and reporting on projects, to ways of working, and resource management, Business Operations has visibility and input into all aspects of the team.

Job Summary:

As a Technical Project Manager you’ll be responsible for partnering with Program and Engineering managers who are developing the video experiences for the Disney Streaming platform. You’ll also function as the interface between Product and other Engineering teams, participating in coordination, alignment, road mapping, and the overall seamless delivery of best-in-class consumer applications. You will help ensure our teams are aligned with the product roadmap and deliver best-in-class consumer applications for all of our products.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:

  • Responsible for developing a roadmap for the team and keeping it in line with the priorities defined by product
  • Execute on several projects concurrently, with a remote & distributed Engineering team, while balancing competing priorities
  • Facilitate and solidify project processes by creating, managing, and updating documentation
  • Keep stakeholders informed of day-to-day project statuses, updates, and risks
  • Cultivate relationships across engineering and technical teams while serving directly as the end-to-end liaison
  • Identify solution paths for competing requirements while managing stakeholder preferences
  • Demonstrate product knowledge, and facilitate the development of requirements in consideration of known technical capabilities and limitations 
  • Work with backend and service teams to establish the needs of your team, continually communicate risks to all stakeholders, and facilitate discussions to help remove blockers

Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience as a Project Manager managing large scale projects
  • Have technical literacy in order to be able to follow technical discussions and absorb technical documentation
  • Proficient understanding of technical architecture and workflow for system/domain of the team(s) and identify potential impacts to components of those systems based on requirements
  • Experience running a consumer application development project through the entire SDLC
  • Knowledge of project management processes including Agile, Kanban, Waterfall
  • Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience required


The hiring range for this position in Santa Monica, CA is $104,600.00 to $140,200.00 per year and in Seattle, WA is $107,400.00 to $143,900.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
