Job Description
As a Web Solutions Engineer Lead, you'll manage solutions enhancing YouTube's efficiency. You'll develop and support tools, prototype proofs of concept, and write/review technical design documents. Collaboration with product management and engineering teams is key, adhering to Google's software development standards. Responsibilities include understanding YouTube's business needs to design, build, and deploy software platforms; collaborating on enterprise-level system integrations; ensuring solutions meet enterprise technology standards; writing and reviewing technical documents; and analyzing/modifying programs to improve efficiency. You will work with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement enterprise-level system integrations, ensuring data flow and interoperability across various platforms and applications.
Must have:
- 9+ years building/testing APIs or web applications
- 5+ years large systems design and integration
- 4+ years Technical Lead/Engineering Manager experience
- 4+ years creating product roadmaps with stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in related field
Good to have:
- AI/ML experience
- Agile, unit testing, bug/change management
- Experience with collaborative code reviews, version control, CI/CD

Job Details
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math or related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 9 years of experience building and testing APIs or web applications.
- 5 years of experience in large systems design and integration.
- 4 years of experience as a Technical Lead or Engineering Manager.
- 4 years of experience working with teams and business stakeholders to create product roadmaps.
Preferred qualifications:
- 10 years of software development and design experience.
- Experience with AI/ML technologies.
- Experience with unit testing, agile project development, and bug and change management systems.
- Experience working with systems for collaborative code reviews, version control, continuous integration and automated testing.
- Experience with creating system/product designs and leading them to launch.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $180,000-$267,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Understand YouTube business priorities and goals to design, build, and deploy software platforms for teams within YouTube.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement enterprise-level system integrations, ensuring data flow and inter-operability across various platforms and applications.
- Ensure that all technical solutions are designed in a way that meet enterprise technology standards using standard and Google-specific software development tools.
- Write and review technical documents, including design, development, revision documents and review code in compiled or scripted languages.
- Analyze, review, and modify programs to increase operating efficiency or meet new requirements as well as execute testing, debugging, maintenance or program updates.
