We are Seeking a detail-oriented Account Associate to manage financial records, ensure tax compliance, and support financial reporting and planning. Responsibilities include maintaining ledgers, reconciling accounts, processing payroll, and preparing tax filings. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and audits while recommending process improvements. Ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial operations.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, balance sheets, and income statements.
Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and credit card transactions.
Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
Process payroll and ensure compliance with payroll-related tax requirements.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports for management, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns (e.g., corporate income tax, sales tax, VAT).
Assist in tax planning to minimize liabilities and optimize tax strategies. Ensure compliance with tax laws and stay updated on changes to tax regulations.
Respond to tax authority inquiries and assist with audits when required.
Collaborate with external tax consultants or auditors as needed to ensure compliance. Support in the preparation of budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
Analyze financial data and assist in providing recommendations for improving financial performance.
Help ensure the accuracy and completeness of all financial data entered into accounting systems.
Assist in reviewing financial discrepancies and making adjustments to accounts as necessary.
Assist with streamlining accounting processes and improving efficiency through automation or better practices.
Recommend improvements to the accounting and tax-related systems and processes.
Assist with the preparation of audit documentation and other compliance-related reports.
Support the accounting department with other ad hoc duties or projects as required. Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and tax filings.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
A minimum of 2 – 4 years of experience in accounting, taxation, or a related role is preferred.
Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar.
Experience in corporate tax filings, including knowledge of local, state, and federal tax regulations.
