Job Description

As an Associate Business Intelligence Analyst, you will be a data-centric hire for the Game Operations Business Intelligence team. Your responsibilities include distilling datasets into recommendations, scoping and completing data requests, building and maintaining dashboards, partnering with teams to address data gaps, enhancing datasets, and providing expertise on data and game operations. This role requires critical thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to communicate insights effectively. You will be working to empower Game Operations with specialized analyses, tools, and expertise that enhance outcomes.
Must have:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in relevant fields.
  • Intermediate experience with SQL, data visualization (Tableau).
  • Intermediate experience in an analyst role.
  • Knowledge or experience in sports, gaming, DFS, pricing, trading.
Good to have:
  • Experience playing or optimizing play in sports, DFS, or games.
  • Personal data or analysis projects related to sports or gaming.
  • Knowledge or experience with Python, R, MATLAB, or other languages.

This role is a data-centric hire for the Game Operations Business Intelligence team, whose mission is to “Empower Game Operations with specialized analyses, tools, and expertise that enhance outcomes.”

What you’ll do:

  • Distill datasets into recommendations with clear visualizations and concise talking points.
  • Scope and complete ad-hoc data requests about game, product, or user performance.
  • Build, document, and maintain easy-to-use and insightful dashboards and re-usable analyses.
  • Partner with Game Operations and Product to address data, knowledge, and process gaps.
  • Enhance datasets to increase usability and ability to perform nuanced analysis and reporting.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on data, pricing, users, and game operations or mechanics.

What you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in statistics, finance, math, or business analysis.
  • Intermediate technical experience with SQL, data visualization (e.g.Tableau), and Excel formulas. 
  • Intermediate experience in an analyst, gaming, consulting, finance, or data science role.
  • Extensive knowledge or experience in sports, gaming, DFS, pricing, trading, or finance.
  • Organized, reliable, curious, professional, communicative, and growth-oriented team player. 
  • Demonstrated ability with data-driven critical thinking, problem solving, and recommendations.

  • Experience playing or optimizing play at a competitive level within sports, DFS, or other games. 
  • Personal data or analysis projects related to sports, gaming, trading, pricing, DFS, or finance.
  • Knowledge or experience with Python, R, MATLAB, or other programming languages.
