Job Summary

ByteDance's SealSuite team seeks a Backend Software Engineer to develop and maintain backend services for their non-China business. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing high-availability architectures for large-scale systems. Responsibilities include contributing to solution development, enhancing product stability, performance, scalability, and ensuring product-market fit. The ideal candidate will have experience with microservices, high-concurrency platforms, and be proficient in languages like C, C++, Go, Python, or Java within a Linux environment. Familiarity with databases (MySQL, Redis), message queues, and RPC is crucial. The team is agile, efficient, and expanding into APAC, the Middle East, and Europe.

Must Have

Develop and maintain SealSuite backend services
Design high-availability architecture solutions
Proficiency in at least one programming language (C, C++, Go, Python, Java)
Familiarity with MySQL, Redis, message queues, RPC
Strong understanding of computer principles & algorithms

Good to Have

Experience with microservices and high-concurrency platforms
Familiarity with Linux kernel and network protocols
Experience developing VPNs, firewalls, or related security products

Job Responsibilities Responsible for Non-China business services and component development for SealSuite. Design, implement, and optimize high-availability architecture solutions for SealSuite’s backend services. Participate in and lead the formulation of technical solutions within the team, ensuring implementation and achieving product market fit. Contribute to solution development, enhancing product stability, performance, openness, and scalability.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field, with at least 2 years of software development experience. Proficiency in at least one programming language such as C, C++, Go, Python, or Java in a Linux environment. Familiarity with MySQL, Redis, message queues, RPC, and related technologies. Strong understanding of computer principles, with solid foundations in operating systems, networking, data structures, and algorithms. Strong programming skills and modular design abilities, with a commitment to high-quality code. Excellent problem-solving skills and experience in diagnosing and resolving complex system issues. Preferred Qualifications Experience in designing high-availability architectures for large-scale systems, with a background in microservices and high-concurrency platforms. Familiarity with Linux kernel and various network protocols, with experience in developing VPNs, firewalls, or related security products.
