We are seeking an experienced Director, Business Strategy and Operations. This role requires a highly resourceful individual with strong business judgment, analytical skills, as well as high emotional intelligence and self-motivation. The ideal candidate is prepared to join an exceptional, fast-paced team whose mission is to accelerate business results by providing hands-on strategic and tactical support for needle-moving initiatives across the company. This is a challenging, high-impact role.
Responsibilities:
Ability to organize, motivate and lead senior stakeholders from across the enterprise
Drive large scale business-critical initiatives, particularly those that span multiple teams
Manage projects ranging from strategic planning to operational process design, organizational design and implementation, to Board-level projects and presentations
Collaborate with key stakeholders across business units
Make timely, fact-based decisions and provide clear direction to teams
Identify metrics-driven insights, plus required actions
Interface and collaborate daily with C-level executives, and key stakeholders across the company locally and internationally
Operate among multiple “dotted line” reporting structures
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience at a leading strategy consulting firm, including at least two years with senior project and product management experience
Detail oriented with ability to scale and move quickly to drive results/action
10+ years of relevant experience in an operating role, preferably involving online media, digital advertising, or big data analytics
Entrepreneurial leadership experience, exposure to high growth, mid-sized enterprises
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Experience must include demonstrable success and results driven by the candidate
Proactive, motivated self-starter, with ability to thrive in ambiguity
BA/BS in a quantitative discipline (e.g. sciences, engineering, economics, accounting, operations research, computer science, business)
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA from a leading school a plus
Track record of fast career progression, especially through internal promotion
Strong extracurricular interests, community involvement, or languages are all plusses
Demonstrated passion for continuous learning, improvement, and sharing best practices
Tech or media industry experience strongly preferred
Ability to effectively communicate complex messages to a broad, diverse audience in both written and verbal form
Ability to create effective end-to-end communication plans
Curiosity and a desire to constantly innovate
Self-awareness and the ability to foster collaboration and empowered execution
Agility and comfort making decisions in a rapidly changing environment
Highly organized, versatile and dedicated to efficient productivity
Proficiency in Mandarin(Chinese) is essential.
